That's a good cause and effect to do. You could find some really good stuff on PETA. I remember that they sent me a CD that was really convincing of why we shouldn't eat meat. I couldn't even watch it that's how bad it was.
hey, i actually had this idea because i recently challenged myself to stop eating meat for a year. i only have 2 1/2 more weeks to go! i feel great for having done it and i may even keep veg for a while. so i've been talking to people for the past year about why i'm doing this and why i eat meat etc, some interesting angles you might want to consider: meat eaters can't imagine veggie foods tasting as good, even though there are a lot of meat replacements that taste great; meat eaters aren't very aware of how much meat they eat, here and there, and it's surprisingly a lot; eating veg means opening yourself to a wide variety of ethnic foods; there's an economic angle too, meat always costs more. I dunno, I'm glad you're doing this topic, I think it's really interesting. If you want to bounce some ideas of someone, just send me a message.
thanks for your comments. I have been a vegetarian for 14 years, and have forgotten how meat eaters think. I say stay veggie forever, even after your year is up.
lol 14 years? okay, i probably don't have any helpful insights. i suspect i will be an infrequent meat eater, but i will prolly cross over. i don't know, maybe i'll surprise myself though. going a year wasn't nearly as hard as i thought it would be.
my main reason 14 years ago was because of the cruelty to animals, but there are so many other reasons why it is important to stop eating meat. Eating meat has a direct effect on the environment, and your health, plus the cruelty that happen at these farms is unimaginable.
hey, so i didnt know who to tell this, and i thought maybe you'd understand. my year is up, and i've had a few bites of meat... and ick. i don't like how the saltiness lingers in my mouth. and i'm thinking that my body is no longer interested in meat, and yet, my mind is still like mmmm hamburger--even though i know it's going to taste gross. it's strange the disconnect it's causing between body and mind. it's making me very aware of how we've taught our bodies to eat meat... just a thought, wanted to share.

Woa! 14 years as a vegetarian! Kudos! Just curious, what made you decide to become a vegetarian? I'm not one, but I don't eat a ton of meat, either.
