I don't remember them saying anything about the show and tell for next class, but on the sheet it says - Bring in some sort of unnecessary process. Anyone have any suggestions??

Project 7 - Process

For project 7, I am doing -  How to grow a Giant Pumpkin.

I am excited about this. I hope I can do it justice and get it all done in time.

Narrative that drives you crazy.

My son loves to read this book, but the text drives me crazy.

"Strawberry's game looks berry fun," said Ginger. "Can we play that next?"

"Abso-berry-luyely!" Strawberry replied. "Follow me!" She led her pals to a net made of strawberry vines. "Whoever throws the most strawberries through the net wins the prize," Strawberry explained as she handed out baskets of strawberries.

Project 5 - video - Dumb Luck!

      

On Sunday I shot the photos for my video - my son had long hair. (he is an actor in my story) After working on my video Monday I decided that I had would have to reshoot some images on Tuesday when my son came back from his fathers. I was so excited to see him, and noticed his hair cut. I was soooo happy he got his hair cut! I am always saying "let me cut your hair". Then it dawned on me - of all times for him to get his hair cut, this was not it- it was right in the middle of my video project. I could not reshoot those frames - he doesn't look the same. I realized I will have to reshoot the ENTIRE story - but that's ok. I am going to wait till after critique - no sense going nuts now - let me figure out what needs to be fixed before I reshoot the whole thing - talk about dumb luck!

What to do when you are overcome with stress:

Buy a car!!

It may sound strange, but with the stress of a divorce, being thrown into being a single mother, and starting a full-time job, I decided to start grad school. What was I thinking? When all the stress was pilling on me at once, what did I do?- I bought a cute sports car - It's amazing how something like this can help lift your spirits. I deserved it. (I did need a new car and I work at a dealership)
